CAMBRIDGE – British innovator Alchemie Technology has reported significant resource savings in the application of a water and stain repellent solution to workwear fabrics using its proprietary digital finishing solution.
In partnering with Swiss firm HeiQ, Alchemie has highlighted the environmental benefits of its Novara single-sided digital finishing process, which has yielded water savings of 52 per cent and energy savings of 46 per cent.
Alan Hudd, Alchemie’s founder, commented: “With demand for workwear increasing every year it is important to address the use of energy and water in the finishing process. We have the technology to provide workwear manufacturers with huge energy, water, and costs savings.”
