NEW YORK – US clothing retailer Bloomingdale’s has partnered with New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) to launch a new innovation fund that will address environmental and social issues within the sector.

The collaboration is to support Bloomingdale’s new ‘B the Change’ platform, which it says will “define the future of the company” via “social good and philanthropic commitments” as well as “progressing its commitment to sustainability and innovation”.

Tony Spring, the retailer’s chairman and CEO, commented: “We are excited to have had the chance to partner with FIT to bring B the Change to life with new programmes and initiatives that will help shape the future of our industry. Together, we are working toward a more inclusive, diverse culture and making our philanthropic efforts even more meaningful.”
