BRUSSELS - A consortium of 27 partners has launched a new European Union (EU) co-funded four-year project to support the transition to a more circular and sustainable textile industry in Europe.
Led by Centexbel, the Belgian research centre for textiles and plastics, the CISUTAC (Circular and Sustainable Textiles and Clothing) consortium includes leading brands, civil society organisations and EU associations.
The consortium also includes textile and clothing industry body Euratex, French retailer Decathlon, Zara owner Inditex, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein owner PVH Corp, fibre producer Lenzing, and Swedish textile recycler Södra.
