LONDON – British retailer John Lewis has announced a number of environmental ambitions as part of its commitment to sustainability, and has outlined its intent to protect nature and reduce waste across its operations.

The targets are part of the group’s – including its Waitrose supermarkets – latest strategy, through which a net-zero farm will be piloted and a string of circular services implemented.

Marija Rompani, the director of ethics and sustainability at John Lewis, said: “Delaying action is simply not an option. We all know that we can’t exist without nature; it is essential for our survival and it will play a vital role in solving the problem of climate change.”
