BRISTOL – British technology company Matter is to launch a kickstarter campaign for its new washing machine filter solution, which it says can capture up to 90 per cent of all microfibres.

The firm’s technology, Gulp, will be the subject of a fundraising round starting October 11th, with the view to bringing the gadget to market and thwarting microplastic pollution.

“Gulp is about creating a long-term solution for one of the biggest challenges of our time. Gulp is a sustainable, scalable piece of technology that empowers people to become part of the solution and make a real difference. It’s easy to install and use, and it’s designed to fit washing machines across Europe in millions of homes,” noted Matter’s founder and CEO, Adam Root.
