ALBUQUERQUE – Textile finishing specialist Green Theme Technologies (GTT) has secured US$5.4 million in financing, which it’ll use to further develop its Empel range of fabric treatments.
The company’s line of solutions – which impart water repellency, anti-wicking and stain release properties – are deemed a more sustainable alternative to conventional textile treatments, as they’re water-free and remove potentially hazardous chemicals from the equation.
The Cottonwood Technology Fund led the funding round. Its managing partner, David Blivin, said: “We see real opportunity with Green Theme to become the new global industry standard for high performance, low impact textile finishing, which is why we are proud to invest in them.”
