DUSSELDORF - Fashion retailer C&A is claiming significant progress against its environmental and social targets in its newly published 2021 sustainability report.

The report highlights increases in the company's use of more sustainable materials including sourcing 99 per cent of its cotton from more sustainable sources and tripling the use of recycled polyester from 5.3 to 15.7 per cent.

It also emphasises the successful ramp-up of the new C&A Factory for Innovation in Textiles (C&A FIT) CO2-free factory in Mönchengladbach, Germany, which is now producing more than 400,000 pairs of jeans a year.
