MILAN – Italian fashion giants Prada and Dolce & Gabbana are amongst the founding members of a new project initiated by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion (CNMI).
The initiative, called Re:Crea, is expected to focus on improving textile recycling rates in the country whilst promoting the research and development of new circular solutions.
The aspiration is to align with impending European legislation such as future mandates on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), which will require sectors like fashion to take responsibility for the end-of-life management of products.
