DUBLIN – The Republic of Ireland’s Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications has announced the extension of Circuléire, an initiative through which it promotes circular practices across sectors such as textiles, construction and healthcare.
Circuléire – a three-year programme which was set to conclude this year – will now run for a further 12 months thanks to fresh financing to the tune of €1.5 million (US$1.56m).
Ossian Smyth, minister of the department of the environment, said: “The transition to a circular economy, supported by Circuléire, will contribute to Ireland achieving its targets in greenhouse gas reductions by 2030.
