TEL AVIV - Materials science company Balena has announced the launch of what it claims are fully compostable slides made from 100 per cent biodegradable plastic.
The 'BioCir Slides' are made from the company's proprietary elastomer which aims to provide an alternative to the plastic materials currently used by fashion brands.
Designed and manufactured in Italy, the first 1,000 pairs of BioCir Slides are now on sale in the company's home town of Tel Aviv, Israel.
