GENEVA - Testing, inspection and certification company SGS has extended its global microfibre testing services with five additional laboratories in Bangladesh, India, Turkey, the USA and Vietnam.
The expansion carries the approval of The Microfibre Consortium (TMC) which approved SGS as its inaugural third-party testing service in 2021 with initial backing for three labs in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Taipei City.
The UK-based TMC develops practical solutions for the textile industry to achieve a target of eliminating the environmental impact of fibre fragmentation from textiles by the end of the decade.
