LONDON – Online retailer ASOS has linked up with workers' rights non-profit GoodWeave International in a bid to stamp out child, forced and bonded labour in its Indian supply chain.

ASOS’s Indian suppliers will be required to undergo audits and unannounced inspections by GoodWeave staff trained to identify potential risks of forced, bonded and child labour.

Three strategic ASOS suppliers in India exporting fashion apparel and accessories will be enrolled in the programme initially, with further suppliers added in the months ahead.
