ZEIST - A coalition of garment manufacturers has welcomed the recent update to the Higg Brand & Retail Module (BRM) as a “useful first step” but says more is needed.
The Sustainable Terms of Trade Initiative (STTI) was set up in 2021 by manufacturers from nine supplier countries to set out the practices they expected from the brands and retailers who buy their products.
It was consulted by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) for the update of the Higg BRM which includes revised questions on purchasing practices.
