WASHINGTON DC– New legislation is needed to address the mountain of textile waste generated by the fashion industry, according to a new report from the American Circular Textiles (ACT) coalition. 

Specifically, the report calls for existing extended producer responsibility (EPR) laws to be amended to include textiles and reuse, or that a separate textile-specific EPR law is enacted to include textile reuse in addition to textile recycling.
