BRUSSELS - More needs to be done to address power imbalances in garment value chains, according to a new report released by the Fair-Trade Advocacy Office (FTAO) in collaboration with the University of Portsmouth. 

The report, titled Fair Purchasing Practices and Barriers in EU SME (small and medium enterprise) Garment Supply Chains, looks at fair and responsible purchasing practices put in place by European fashion SMEs, and their barriers to remaining competitive in the current fast fashion industry.
