AMSTERDAM – ZDHC has issued a warning that some individuals and related organisations in Brazil have been ‘actively and repeatedly representing themselves as ZDHC and offering solutions in the ZDHC name’ – although these unnamed parties have no official link to the ZDHC.

The deception has taken the form of a fake Facebook page (pictured) and a convincing website under the guise of ZDHC Brasil. However, ZDHC Brasil is not affiliated with the ZDHC program, and its claims to be the official representative of the program are false, Frank Michel, the CEO of ZDHC confirmed to Ecotextile News. These individuals and organisations are not authorised representatives of ZDHC in Brazil and are not affiliated with us in any way,” said an official statement.

ZDHC operates under the URL https://www.zdhc-gateway.com along with the www.roadmaptozero website domains.

The ZDHC says that legal proceedings are now underway to halt the activity and that it’s ‘deeply concerned about this situation.’

“Our due diligence in Brazil is complete and we are at the final stages of a legal process to address the situation with the clear intention and aim of stopping this activity,” said the Dutch-based international not-for-profit.

The ZDHC is now advising textile professionals to be cautious and vigilant if they are approached by anyone claiming to be ZDHC and to contact the organisation via email This email address is being protected from spambots. “We take this matter very seriously and will do everything possible to protect our stakeholders,” said the organisation.
