PARIS - H&M CEO Helena Helmersson has been appointed the new co-chair of the Fashion Pact, succeeding the initiative's co-founder, François-Henri Pinault, the chairman and CEO of Kering.
Pinault launched the Fashion Pact, which aims to mitigate climate change, restore biodiversity and protect oceans, at the G7 Summit in 2019 at the invitation of French president Emmanuel Macron.
Helmersson, along with co-chair Paul Polman and executive director Eva von Alvensleben, pledged to continue to build on the progress of the initiative.
