ZUG - A study aimed at reducing carbon emissions in the textile supply chain has revealed the scale of the task facing the European Outdoor Group (EOG) and its members with a recent audit revealing that 16 manufacturing facilities used by a pilot group produced a combined total of 500,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions in 2021.
The audit, part of an update from the EOG’s long-term Carbon Reduction Project, also explored the root causes of the high emission levels and identified opportunities to actively mitigate those factors and make significant reductions.
