MELBOURNE - Australian textile manufacturer ABMT has partnered with social enterprise and streetwear label HoMie Reborn to launch what it claims is the country’s first garment upcycling factory.
ABMT, which specialises in sustainably produced fabrics and garments, is taking deadstock, repurposed samples and unwanted returns from brands and retailers and transforming them into new garments, with profits supporting HoMie’s campaign to help young people affected by homelessness or hardship.
