STOCKHOLM – Swedish textile recycler Renewcell has launched a strategic review in a bid to secure additional funding as it continues to struggle to attract orders of its Circulose pulp.

Renewcell, which opened the world's first industrial scale textile-to-textile recycling factory a year ago, recently confirmed that orders had slumped and that it is no longer on track to break even by the end of this year.

The December edition of our Ecotextile News magazine - out next week - includes an eight page report on the challenges facing Renewcell and the implications for the scaling of next gen materials. Read an extract, asking what's gone wrong at Renewcell, HERE.
