DUBAI - Scandinavian fashion groups Bestseller and H&M have committed to invest in Bangladesh's first offshore windfarm, a project that could potentially reduce carbon emissions from the country's fashion industry supply chain by around 725,000 tonnes per year.
Announced at this week's COP28 in Dubai, the energy project is being developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, a major investor in renewable energy investments, and the non-profit Global Fashion Agenda (GFA).
