Automated sorting to drive textile recycling

BERLIN – Fashionsort.ai, a collaboration between technology firm circular.fashion, the Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin), and recycling company Remondis, has developed an automated sorting system that could help the textile recycling sector shift from manual to automated processing.

The fashionsort.ai system uses artificial intelligence-based, image recognition software integrated with an RFID digital product passport system to capture and track textiles automatically.
