NUKUS - Human rights campaigners are supporting a cotton farmers' co-operative in Uzbekistan which is appealing after state officials succeeded in winning a court order to close it down.

Human Rights Watch and Uzbek Forum for Human Rights say that closing the Oltin Tola Boston cooperative violated internationally-protected rights to freedom of association and to organise.
