MONTREAL – Loop Industries has received a $66 million tranche of fresh funding which it will use to ramp up the expansion of its chemical recycling technology across Europe.
Loop's patented and proprietary technology depolymerises no and low-value waste PET plastic and polyester fibre, including plastic bottles and packaging, carpets, and textiles of any colour, transparency or condition, and even ocean plastics that have been degraded by the sun and salt, to its base building blocks (monomers).
