BRUSSELS – The European Council has today agreed its position on the European Union’s (EU) proposed ban on products made with forced labour from the single market.
It follows recent reports that members had been unable to reach agreement on the European Commission’s draft proposals, first unveiled in September 2022, putting the legislation at risk.
