GAZIPUR - Fairtrade has launched an investigation into allegations that union officials were beaten up outside the gates of one of its certified garment factories in Bangladesh.
Shariful Islam and Jagdish Babu, of the Akota Garment Worker Federation (AGWF), needed hospital treatment following the attack at the Libas Textiles factory which supplies leading brands and retailers.
