STOCKHOLM – Retail giant H&M has committed to buying $600 million worth of recycled polyester over seven years to support the expansion of a new textile-to-textile recycling project.

The deal follows a collaboration with investment groups Vargas and TPG Rise Climate on a programme to help decarbonise and reduce waste across the textile industry.
