LUND - A research team from Sweden’s Lund University says it has succeeded in making 100% chemically recycled viscose fibre from worn-out cotton sheets.

The team says it identified viscose as a potential area for research as there is no fully-recycled variant currently on the market, while it is also keen to help Sweden reduce its common practice of incinerating old textiles to fuel district-heating schemes.
