BANGKOK - The European Union and the United Nations have launched a joint initiative to help strengthen the rights of women migrant workers and children in southeast Asia.

The three-year ‘Protect’ project will work to promote decent work and reduce vulnerabilities of those at risk by ensuring labour rights, preventing, and responding to violence against women and children across a number of industries including the garment and textile manufacturing sector.
