WASHINGTON DC – The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) trade body has welcomed moves to extend the trade agreement between the US and eligible Sub-Saharan African countries for another 16 years.
AAFA, which represents more than 1,000 brands, says the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) - currently due to expire in September - is the cornerstone of the US economic relationship with Sub-Saharan Africa.
