Germany launches textile returns pilot

BERLIN – A cross-industry consortium of trade associations has come together in German to launch a pilot project for a new smart textile returns system.

The German Textile and Fashion Industry, the Textile Research Board, the GRS Batteries Foundation, and the Joint Return System Service Company, said they will use experience gained from an established battery recycling programme to create a non-profit, return system tailored towards medium-sized textile and garment manufacturers.
