WASHINGTON DC – Republican and Democrat congressional representatives have joined forces to introduce a bill aimed at bridging the gap between consumers and apparel producers when it comes to understanding a garment’s environmental impact.
The Voluntary Sustainable Apparel Labeling Act will seek to persuade fashion brands to introduce labels providing shoppers with access to verified information about production methods and material usage.
