BRUSSELS – The Solidaridad sustainable supply chain initiative is urging the European Council to save the proposed European Union Deforestation Law (EUDL) after the European Parliament voted to water down the legislation.
EUDR had already been delayed by a year – to the end of next year – to allow more time to prepare for the law following concerns about its impacts on lengthy supply chains, particularly small farmers.
