Coalition blasts French move to delay legislation to make companies responsible for environmental and human rights issues in their supply chains
PARIS - A coalition of NGOs and trade unions has condemned the French government over a call to the European Union (EU) to delay the implementation of its Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDDD).
France says the legislation - which would make companies responsible for environmental and human rights issues in their global supply chains, would be too "burdensome" for businesses.
