IKEA spells out plans to reach net zero

LEIDEN – Ingka Group, the franchise owner of the majority of IKEA stores, has published its 'Net Zero Transition Plan' in which it spells out how it intends to meet its pledge to half its overall greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050.

The commitments - set against a 2016 baseline - cover the company's emissions across its own operations, its energy use and its global supply chain, and align with the 1.5C pathway of the Paris Agreement.
