Seven leading initiatives issue a joint plea to the European Union not to weaken legislation including CSDDD and CSRD
BRUSSELS – Seven worker rights and environmental initiatives have come together to urge the European Union (EU) to ensure that flagship corporate sustainability legislation is not weakened by its red tape cutting plans.
The European Commission last month unveiled its 'Omnibus' plans to simplify legislation, including the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), so as not to hamper European companies economically.
