New study highlights the revolutionary potential of new innovations in textile recycling – but warns that significant challenges remain

ATHENS / ESPOO - A review recently published by the American Chemical Society explores various promising chemical and biotechnological solutions that could address the growing global crisis of textile waste.

The research, led by Joyjit Ghosh at the University of Georgia and Md. Reazuddin Repon at Aalto University in Finland in the journal ACS Omega, explores innovative methods to transform textile waste into valuable resources, paving the way for a more sustainable and circular economy.
