The production facility in China has started up the commercial-scale manufacture of GRS-certified recycled nylon 6 polymers from industrial textile waste
LUDWIGSHAFEN – BASF has started up commercial production of its GRS-certified recycled nylon 6 polymer at a 500 metric tonnes per year facility in Shanghai, China.
It’s the company’s first commercial site to produce its ‘Loopamid’ recycled polymer, which can be based entirely on textile waste – both post-consumer and post-industrial.
