MEPs fast track vote on delaying sustainability laws

European Parliament will now vote on controversial plans to delay flagship corporate sustainability legislation on Thursday

BRUSSELS - Members of the European Parliament have today agreed to fast track a decision on controversial proposals to delay flagship corporate sustainability and due diligence legislation.

By a margin of 427 votes to 221, with 14 abstentions, MEPS backed plans to hold a vote on the so-called 'stop the clock' proposals to halt imminent legislative changes on Thursday, 3rd April.
