Bangladesh will buy more US cotton if it helps to persuade the US government to drop the 37% export tariff that could hammer the countries vital garment industry.
“Bangladesh will take all necessary actions to fully support your trade agenda,” said interim leader Muhammad Yunus in a letter published this week that also offered tariff cuts on American imports to Bangladesh such as semiconductors and medical equipment.
