Canadian nonprofit finds most consumers don’t trust fashion brands’ sustainability claims and want tougher regulations

TORONTO - The Fashion Takes Action (FTA) nonprofit has released a new report calling for more accountability, clearer communication and regulatory intervention on sustainability claims in the fashion industry.

Entitled 'Canadian Consumer Perceptions of Sustainable Fashion & Greenwashing', the study explores how greenwashing affects public trust-and the long-term implications for brands, retailers, and policymakers.
