Jeplan to make recycled t-shirts for race event

KAWASAKI - Japanese chemicals company Jeplan, which recycles textile waste and plastic bottles to make virgin-grade polyester chip, is to supply 100% textile-to-texile recycled t-shirts to promote the country's OSJ Trail Running Series.

The t-shirts - made of recycled polyester resin manufactured using proprietary PET chemical recycling technology from used clothing collected at stores and other locations - will be sold at each of the nine races to be held across seven venues for the 2025 event.
