Syre signs MoU with Binh Dinh Province of Vietnam to explore construction of a gigascale textile recycling plant
Polyester textile-to-textile recycling start-up Syre, which was formed through a partnership with investors Vargas and H&M, has identified Binh Dinh province in Vietnam as the potential location for its first gigascale recycling plant.
Syre announced in May 2024 it had shortlisted Vietnam as a probable location for its first gigascale plant – a project that focuses on large scale in a bid to reduce costs - with Binh Dinh selected because of its strategic positioning within the textile supply chain and its historical connections to the industry.
