Investigation finds only 1% of garment workers at Cambodian factory earned benchmark claimed by sportswear giant
PHNOM PENH - Sportswear giant Nike's claims about the wages paid to its supply chain workers have been questioned by a new investigation.
Nike claims its suppliers pay their workers 1.9 times the minimum wage on average - but the ProPublica nonprofit says it has seen the payroll for 3,720 employees at one Cambodian factory revealing only 1% reached this level.
