Unifi launches new Repreve technical yarns

Unifi is unveiling a new, durable version of its recycled Repreve yarn technology at this week’s Techtextil North America exhibition

Fortisin is suitable for the production of military and first responder uniforms

North Carolina-based fibre specialist Unifi, the manufacturer of Repreve-branded recycled polyester, has launched a new, abrasion-resistant nylon yarn for technical textile applications.

Branded as Fortisyn, the new yarn is said to be exceptionally durable with enhanced tear and tensile strength, making it suitable for the production of military and first responder uniforms, as well as tactical gear.
