Trade groups slam EU’s Ecodesign requirements

Two influential German bodies argue that European legislation does not account for complexity of textile sustainability

BONN / STUTTGART - Two German trade bodies have launched a joint paper criticising the European Union's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).

The Association of the German Sport Goods Industry (BSI) and Association of the Southwest German Textile and Clothing Industry (Südwesttextil) say ESPR does not account for the complexity of textile sustainability.
