BARCELONA - Scientists say they demonstrated how agricultural by-products from industrial hemp, typically considered waste, can be transformed into valuable textile fibres.
Led by researchers at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona (BarcelonaTech), the study highlights the potential of a process known as mechanical-chemical cottonisation.
