European Commission green lights much anticipated Product Environmental Footprint category rules for textiles and apparel

BRUSSELS - The long-awaited Product Environmental Footprint category rules (PEFCR) for textiles and apparel have been approved by the European Commission.

Backers of the project heralded it as a major step forward in harmonising sustainability metrics and advancing sustainability goals in the textile industry.
