GOTS certifications continue to rise

The number of textiles facilities certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) organisation grew by 5% globally last year, to a new high of 15,441.

Increases were seen in all regions, with the exception of Bangladesh, with the top 10 countries for certified facilities now including India (4,028), China (2,535), Turkey (1,730), Bangladesh (1,344), Italy (1,058), and Germany (790).
