YKK eyes switch to low-carbon aluminium

Apparel fastening solutions manufacturer YKK is to switch to using only low-carbon aluminium as the source for the alloy wire it sources for zipper production.

Part of its initiative to convert all aluminium alloy zipper items to more environmentally friendly products, YKK says its work is increasingly focusing on developing its fastening solutions in line with its ‘Sustainability Vision 2050’.
